CRA Offering 2015 Conference Scholarships
The Carolina Recycling Association (CRA), in collaboration with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SC DHEC), The Recycling Market Development Advisory Council (RMDAC), South Carolina Department of Commerce (SC DOC) and RecyclonomicsSC is offering scholarships to South Carolina residents to attend the 2015 Carolina Recycling Association Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC.  These scholarship funds are available as a result of the South Carolina Recycling License Plate Fund.

The scholarships are being offered to South Carolina Government Employees and Recycling Entrepreneurs.  These scholarships cover only the conference registration fee and associated meals. Transportation, additional meals and lodging are not included in the scholarship.  Scholarship funds will be allocated directly to the Carolina Recycling Association.  Recipients do not have to pay their registration up front.

Scholarships are need based. As a result, applicants must describe why they are in financial need.  For example, a city might only allocate funds for one staff member to attend.  However, another staff member sees sessions that would benefit their current projects.  That second staff member could apply for the scholarship

Each Applicant must complete the scholarship application and provide a 2 – 3 paragraph statement of need to Diane Davis by e-mail: [email protected] or call 704.467.7774.   Applications are due by February 16, 2015.
