UNTHA reports brisk sales of its XR shredder
<![CDATA[

Austria-based equipment manufacturer UNTHA says its stationary XR model shredder “has achieved significant global success” and has been “selected to play a prominent part in dozens of waste-to-energy projects worldwide.”

Regarding the XR’s recent track record, “To date, the shredder has been sold to multiple sites in the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria and France, plus Ireland, Finland, Poland, Turkey, Portugal, Bulgaria, Mexico, the United States, South Korea and Vietnam,” says UNTHA in a press release.

The company touts the XR with featuring “two pioneering cutting concepts, high throughputs, energy efficiency, application flexibility and low operating costs. Among the applications the XR is marketed toward is the production of “a high quality solid recovered fuel (SRF) in a single pass, with double the output per tonnage of competing machines,” says UNTHA.

Other applications in which the XR is finding homes include processing of municipal solid waste (MSW), commercial and industrial waste, production waste and bulky items, according to the firm.

“We knew the XR had the potential to change the way operators process waste and produce alternative fuels,” says Peter Streinik, the head of UNTHA’s waste division. “It’s quieter, more environmentally sound, easier to maintain and cheaper to run than its counterparts in the market. It’s safe to say the team is delighted by the global impact it is has had in only a short space of time.”
