FirstPoint Management Resources to manage Mobile Shredding Association

The board of the Mobile Shredding Association (MSA) decided in its February meeting to accept a proposal for association management services from Raleigh, North Carolina based FirstPoint Management Resources, according to the association’s newsletter dated Feb. 26, 2016. The management agreement extends through 2018 and involves relocating MSA’s headquarters to by March 1.

Current MSA Executive Director Trace Hartridge will take a position on the board to provide continuity and assist in the transition process.

Tara Foy will serve as the new executive director. She will tour local operator’s facilities to further develop her understanding of plant-based and mobile operations, according to the newsletter.

Foy will assist MSA members and the board in administering standards, membership and client promotion as well as conference planning, communication and responding to member needs, the newsletter states, adding that MSA members should expect a call from Foy in March.

MSA President John Miller of WesTex Document, Lubbock, Texas, says, "We are excited to have this team of experienced association management professionals helping MSA. We are focused on serving our members. FirstPoint’s experience is key to creating more value for MSA members."

Jim Booth, former executive direction of records managment industry association PRISM International, is FirstPoint’s director of operations. He will serve as executive advisor to MSA.
