Fuchs, Louisville, Kentucky, will introduce a new, high-capacity material handler at the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) 2016 Convention & Exposition (ISRI2016), April 4-6, at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. On display for the first time at Booth No. A12, the purpose-built material handler represents a new capacity class entry for Fuchs and is built specifically for the high production needs of large scrap recycling operations and port applications in North America, according to the manufacturer.

"Facilities running mega shredders who require a high-capacity, extremely efficient material handler with long reach will especially benefit from this new Fuchs material handler model," says John Van Ruitenbeek, North American business line director for Fuchs.

Anthony Laslavic, regional sales manager and national accounts manager for Fuchs, adds, "Our new handler offers outstanding lift capacity, a powerful but ultra-efficient engine, solid undercarriage for excellent stability and massive axles for high reliability in even the most demanding applications. This model was conceptualized from customer requests and feedback, and we are excited to give customers a preview of our new material handler at ISRI 2016.”

In addition to the new material handler on display at IRSI2016, Fuchs says it will unveil its newest cab design, featuring classic Fuchs-style elements combined with the latest technologies. Unique to the market, the re-engineered operator’s cab is specially designed for purpose-built material handlers. Standard joystick steering improves machine responsiveness to operator commands, while large windows provide enhanced visibility of the operating area, the company says.
