US Shredder and Castings Group expands sales team

U.S. Shredder and Castings Group, Miramar Beach, Florida, has hired Carr Tigner and Gretchen Njavro as an account managers and has opened a new sales office in Lake City, South Carolina.

In his new role with the company, Carr Tigner, son of U.S. Shredder President Bill Tigner, will be responsible for supporting customers with their shredder castings and wear part needs as well as with systems. He will be based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

While attending the University of Alabama, Carr Tigner interned with the U.S. Shredder during summer months, learning the basics of the shredder industry for the past three years. 

Bill Tigner says, “We are pleased to add Carr to the U.S. Shredder team. He is the second of my children to join the company in as many years. There is a strong tradition in the scrap industry for a new generation to come into a family business. Carr’s work ethic, intelligence and strong mechanical aptitude will be a strong asset for our company.”

Njavro, who also joined the company in May, will serve as an account manager as well as inside sales manager in U.S. Shredder’s new sales office in Lake City.

Originally from Palm Springs, California, Njavro graduated from California State University, Fullerton, in 2010.  She has worked in sales and customer service in the insurance industry since 2010.  

“Gretchen has developed strong, professionally trained skills in maintaining and servicing customer accounts. We look forward to all that she brings to our organization,” Bill Tigner adds.
