CMRA unveils November 2016 schedule

The China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association Recycling Metals Branch (CMRA) has released the details of the program for its 2016 annual convention, which takes place Nov. 7-9 at the Dongfang Hotel in Guangzhou, China.

 

After a Monday, Nov. 7 welcome reception, the program on Tuesday, Nov. 8 includes a Chinese economic policy analysis, including aspects of the 13th Five-Year Plan. Among the speakers Tuesday morning will be Wang Jiwei, vice president and general secretary of the CMRA.

 

Tuesday afternoon’s programming includes a seminar on “market reform and capital innovation,” with presentations covering how these trends are affecting the nonferrous metals recycling and production sectors. Another seminar on Tuesday discusses the processing of electronic scrap in China.

 

Programming on Wednesday, Nov. 9, includes presentations on aluminum and copper smelting technologies and information on battery recycling.

 

As it has in years past, the CMRA Annual Convention will also include an exhibit hall, which in 2016 will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, and from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9.

The CMRA also is arranging tours of recycling facilities, including trips to an electronics and recycling plant in Zhuhai, China, operated by OEM Gree, and a trip to the Hong Kong Eco Park, which houses several recycling firms.
