The Atlanta (Georgia) Journal-Constitution reports that Smyrna, Georgia, will modify the Smyrna Recycling Education Center to reduce noise from glass recycling.

The modifications are the result of two petitions from residents complaining about the noise that results from glass recycling at the facility. According to the article, the city will hire more workers to unload the glass into bins. Mayor Max Bacon also suggested the facility eliminate glass raking.

“When we opened a year ago, we promised the neighbors that we would be good neighbors,” Bacon told the newspaper.
