Process equipment manufacturer The Witte Co., Washington, New Jersey, has named Tyson Witte president. Promoted after 10 years of service in engineering and in other roles, he represents the fourth generation of leadership for the family-owned manufacturer of vibrating fluid bed dryers, coolers, pellet classifiers, dewaterers and other vibrating processing equipment.

In his new role, he is responsible for the strategic direction, growth and overall business results for the company, which was founded by his great-grandfather in 1938. Tyson plans to look for ways to expand the current product line and to find new markets for the company’s equipment, according to a press release from The Witte Co. announcing his promotion.

Tyson succeeds Richard Witte, now chairman, who served as president for 30 years.

“Working alongside my father for the past 10 years has been an invaluable experience that has provided me with the confidence and knowledge to lead the Witte Co. into the future,” says Tyson. “I’m grateful he brought the company to this strong position and humbled at the opportunity to follow his path and build on his work.”

Tyson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University and resides in Morristown, New Jersey.
