Jericho, New York-based Tunnel Hill Partners has donated a new, six-foot high outfield fence to the New Lexington, Ohio Little League. The waste-by-rail company says the new fence represents “the first upgrade to the ball field in many years.”

The company operates the Tunnel Hill Reclamation Landfill on the outskirts of New Lexington, in Perry County, Ohio. The announcement of the donation was made by Rod Deeds, general manager of the New Lexington landfill, and William Rinaldi, president of Tunnel Hill Partners.

“At Tunnel Hill, we take great pride in investing our resources in the communities in which we operate” says Rinaldi. “From the outset, we have committed our company to being good neighbors and corporate citizens. Our support of the New Lexington Little League is further evidence of our commitment to partnering with our host communities.”

Says New Lexington Mayor ?Kevin Ratliff, “Our Little League Baseball program is so important to everyone in our community. ?In recent years, our outfield fence had become badly deteriorated and was in need of replacement – but we just didn’t have the money. Then Tunnel Hill came along with their incredibly generous offer and saved the day. We’re extremely grateful to Bill Rinaldi and all the good folks at Tunnel Hill for their commitment to our community.”

The installation of the new outfield fence is scheduled to begin toward the end of August 2016.

Tunnel Hill Partners bills itself as the largest waste-by-rail service provider in the United States. The company’s assets include two rail-served Subtitle D landfills in Ohio, one rail-served beneficial reuse facility in Pennsylvania, five rail-served transfer stations in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts, and one construction and demolition (C&D) materials processing facility in Massachusetts.
