ScrapCash introduces ATM

ScrapCash introduces ATM
<![CDATA[

Los Angeles-based firm ScrapCash has released an ATM that it says will not only eliminate scrap yards’ cashiers, potentially saving operations $20,000 to $40,000 per year per cashier in salary, but that also claims to be the only employee-theft-proof ATM on the market. The ATM will send a text/email when the machine is low on funds for 24-hour monitoring.

ScrapCash ATM’s can integrate seamlessly with any scrap yard software, according to the company.

Scrap yard operators can pay customers directly from their scales with one simple click, ScrapCash says. The software generates a receipt with a pin number and bar code. If the transaction exceeds a certain dollar amount, the machine will send the yard manager or owner a text message and an email that includes pictures of the materials, as well as the weights. The manager has the option to approve or deny the transaction. Once approved, the customer can enter his or her pin, sign on the screen, the machine takes a picture of the customer, and the ATM dispenses the cash.

According to the company, “The process is fast, seamless and, best of all, can eliminate the need for a cashier and prevent cash theft.”

ScrapCash says its ATMs can be purchased for as low as $19,000 and have no hidden fees.
