ISRI board of directors to consider proposed plastic specifications changes

ISRI board of directors to consider proposed plastic specifications changes
<![CDATA[

Following approval of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) Plastics Division, a series of new, revised and deleted plastic scrap specifications will be presented to the ISRI board of directors at the next board meeting, scheduled for Nov. 5, 2016, in Salt Lake City.

ISRI says the proposed changes are intended to better reflect the commodities that are being traded in the marketplace to assist members in buying and selling. The proposed plastic specification changes were developed in consultation with plastic scrap recycling industry members and other plastics industry associations. At the board of directors meeting, the board may choose to adopt, amend or reject the recommendations of the Plastics Division or table them pending further review. More information about the rules governing the procedures from the addition, amendment or withdrawal of ISRI’s scrap specifications can be found in the Scrap Specifications Circular 2016.

Comments, recommendations or questions please can be submitted to Jonathan Levy or to Joe Pickard. An open comment period will extend for 30 days following the vote by the board.
