Sennebogen says the new generation of its 825 material handler completes the company’s range of material handling machines for use in the timber handling, recycling and scrap handling sectors. With a service weight of 28.8 short tons in the wheeled version and 32 short tons in the crawler version, the 825 E covers a range of material handling applications, the company says.

The 825 E offers a length of 12 metres (39 feet) to 14 metres (45 feet), depending on the undercarriage, and ULM stick variants. The modular system also offers customer-specific versions with special undercarriages, as well as stationary solutions and electric drives. The Maxcab, which can elevate to a height of 2.7 metres (nearly 9 feet), offers a comfort cab with sliding door, a comfort seat and automated heater/air conditioner, creating a pleasant work environment for the operator. The elevated position and large windows give the operator an overview of the work site.

The Sennebogen 825 E is equipped with a 129-kilowatt diesel engine, which is either Tier 4f or Tier 3a compliant, depending on the version. With the company’s Green Efficiency technologies and its E-Series features, customers can expect a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 25% compared to previous series, Sennebogen says.

As an alternative to the conventional diesel engine, the 825 also is available in an electro-hydraulic drive with a 110-kilowatt electric engine. Operating costs are reduced by as much as 50%. The electric version also offers low noise and the ability to work without stopping to refuel.

Sennebogen is based in Germany with a U.S. subsidiary, Sennebogen LLC, based in Stanley, North Carolina.
