Middletown, Ohio-based Cohen says it is launching a new IT life cycle management subsidiary that will “focus on reuse, while protecting data, human health, and the environment.”

Cohen says it will hold a “official launch party” on Thursday, June 1, 2017 to provide more details on the name and mission and of the “new Cohen brand.” The theme of the party is “A Whole Blue World,” and it takes place at the company’s recently expanded Cohen Electronics recycling facility in Middletown.

Cohen Holdings, which bills itself as one of the nation’s largest metal and electronics recycling companies, says the new subsidiary will offer “complete IT lifecycle management services.”

The company says its subsidiary will provide services including:

  • •optimizing reusable refurbished asset value;
  • mitigating risks associated with data security breaches for corporations and individuals;
  • protecting individual identity and corporate brand equity; and
  • minimizing negative environmental and human health impacts.

Cohen will continue to accept and process electronics, such as computers, telecom equipment, TVs, and cell phones, for businesses and consumers alike.

Its Cohen Electronics subsidiary has earned and maintains six certifications (subject to annual audits) designed to mandate and outline best practices, says the firm. Those include the e-Stewards and R2 certifications.

Founded in 1924, Cohen refers to itself as the largest family-owned recycler in in its region. The company recycles scrap metal, electronics and automobiles and operates from more than 20 locations in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee.
