The CRA’s annual LIVE Auction will be held during Wednesday night’s Green Reception. The talented auctioneer Brian Batchelor has been invited to entertain you as we auction off your generous donations to raise money for the CRA. Please come prepared to bid! You can read more about Brian below. If you are interested in donating an item for the Auction please contact Paige Tate paiget@cra-recycle.org.
Please take a moment and consider donating an item to the CRA’s conference. Items can be of varying sizes and values. Some examples of items donated in previous silent auctions include: basketball and football tickets, jackets, embroidered shirts, framed photos, jewelry, hats, goody bags, gift certificates (restaurants, hotels, spas, etc.), CD players, recycled content products, etc. Auction proceeds are directly returned to CRA to support the full scope of CRA’s waste reduction and educational initiatives implemented throughout the year.
Brian Batchelor graduated from Mendenhall School of Auctioneering and was licensed to conduct auctions in 1996. Brian has been actively involved in the auction business in the southeast for nearly 12 years. He comes from a family of auctioneers and has been trained to work with a variety of auctions. Brian is married to Lindsay Batchelor, who is the Program Manager for NC State University's Waste Reduction and Recycling office.

Join other CRA attendees for a self-guided exploration of ABC recycling in action…in Raleigh’s vibrant downtown! Enjoy a visit to the restaurants and bars of two of Raleigh’s five entertainment districts, Glenwood South and Fayetteville Street. Transportation will be provided from the North Raleigh Hilton. This fun filled event takes place on Thursday at 6:30 pm. Details to follow.
The House Hold Hazardous Waste Council, one of the most productive Councils of the CRA, has once again offered to host a Mixer for all attendees in the Hospitality Suite (Suite # will be confirmed at a later date) of the Hilton North Raleigh. The HHW Council always does a great job of providing excellent finger foods and delightful mixers in a comfortable and relaxed environment.
Be sure to stop in on Thursday, March 27 and Mix it up with the HHW Council!
