CRA FACTS One of the largest state-based recycling association in the United States, serving North and South Carolina since 1989. Implemented a highly successful 16th Annual Conference & Trade Show, March 21-24, 2006 at The Hilton North Raleigh, North Carolina. Over 450 attendees participated in a four day conference and two day 70+ Exhibitor Trade Show that included an informative program with sessions ranging in topics from Reuse in Schools to Financing Recycling Programs, C&D recycling and recycling in Businesses to name a few. The CRA took advantage of our host city, Raleigh, with our conference theme "Recycling: A Capital Idea." Delivered an educational, interactive and comprehensive 15th Annual Conference & Trade Show, March 21 - 24, 2005 at The Radisson Plaza Hotel & Convention Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Conference was appropriately titled "Catch the Recycling Wave." The CRA welcomed over 450 attendees, 75+ Exhibitors and 40 Conference Sponsors. Hosted the Carolina Recycling Association 14th Annual Conference & Trade Show, March 21-24, 2004, at the Adam's Mark Hotel in Charlotte, NC. Approximately 490 people came from up to 27 states and Canada to attend this event. Hosted the state organization of the National Recycling Coalition's 19th Annual Congress & Exposition, September 10-13, 2000, in Charlotte, NC. 1999 Winner of National Recycling Coalition's Recycler of the Year for Executive Director 1998 Winner of McClure Award for Outstanding Environmental and Community Leadership. Represents more than 450 members (individuals, small businesses, multinational corporations, state government agencies and local governments) who are committed to reducing waste, promoting recycling and buying recycled. Produces nationally recognized quarterly newsletter The Rword and timely e-updates through R-Bulletin. Coordinates volunteer councils and committees that have been formed around areas of special interest. These councils include:
