The Recycling Today Media Group, publisher of Renewable Energy from Waste (REW) magazine announces the Renewable Energy from Waste Conference will be held in Long Beach, California, Nov. 14-16, 2016.

Now in its fourth year, the REW Conference is the premier event for the rapidly developing and dynamic waste conversion industry. The REW Conference is designed to broaden attendees’ understanding of waste conversion technologies as well as market trends critical to the development of new projects. More than 30 experts will share case studies and real-world experience in planning, implementing and operating successful projects during the 2016 event.

“The Renewable Energy from Waste Conference provides deep insights into technology, markets and application of the technologies that can provide solutions to waste problems,” says James R. Keefe, publisher of the Recycling Today Media Group. “Any business, waste and recycling firm, or government official trying to understand how energy recovery can be part of a waste diversion program will want to attend.”

Two full days of sessions will cover a wide range of topics critical to understanding the industry, including:

  • the role of waste-to-energy in the circular economy;
  • national, state and local market outlooks;
  • fuel processing innovations;
  • structuring effective public-private partnerships; and
  • opportunities for biogas

“The 2016 REW Conference is shaping up to be our best program yet,” says Kristin Smith, editor of REW magazine. “We’re bringing together the top experts in their fields to provide the most comprehensive program available. Attendees will hear from companies leading the sustainability movement by recovering energy value from materials that cannot be recycled.”

A myriad of networking opportunities are available during the three-day event. The exhibit hall is showcases some of the leading companies offering the technologies, equipment and solutions for both thermal and biological conversion processes.

As well, a pre-conference workshop, “From Concept to Reality – Waste Conversion Project Implementation,” led by waste consulting firm and event partner, Gershman, Brickner & Bratton (GBB), Fairfax, Virginia, provides training for implementing waste conversion into an integrated waste management model.

“This is a unique opportunity for public- and private-sector conference attendees to leverage and further maximize their conference experience by learning from, and exchanging ideas with industry experts and colleagues with similar experiences in an intimate workshop setting conducive to in-depth discussions,” says Harvey Gershman, president and co-founder GBB.
