Defending Recycling

August 11, 2020

Our third webinar in the Recycling Resilience series: Defending Recycling. Recycling is under a great deal of political and financial pressure in many communities. Combating “throw the baby out with the bathwater” thinking is not as hard as it sounds, as many communities have demonstrated. While a few programs have buckled under these pressures, others have continued to thrive by implementing creative solutions, making small changes together with their MRF partners, engaging citizen advocates, and having strong leadership in place. In this webinar, several recycling programs and communities discussed where success was achieved through one or more of these solutions, and where partnerships and resources made all the difference in keeping essential recycling services available to the community.
