Call for Presentations & Session Ideas
Whether it’s just an idea, or a fully organized presentation, you are what makes the CRA Conference program one of the very best around! This is a great opportunity to engage with hundreds of recycling professionals at the Embassy Suites Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach, SC from March 16-19, 2026.
*Submissions are due by September 25, 2025*
CRA is planning a Sustainable Business & Industry Track and prioritizing the following topics:
- Verified Carbon Reduction (through waste reduction, recycling and buying recycled)
- Business Recycling & Waste Reduction
- Business Skill Development (sales, contract negotiations, customer relations, etc.)
- Circular Economy Development (reuse loops with suppliers, customer take back programs, etc.)
- Corporate Sustainability, Zero Waste, ESG in Action, Vertical Integration
General topics of interest include (but not limited to):
- General Topics: Reuse Success Stories, Environmentally Preferred Procurement, Buy Recycled, Market Development, Ocean Plastic, Trends in Packaging Sustainability
- Local Government and Private Sector Recycling and Waste Reduction: Collections, Enforcement, Education and Outreach, Waste Diversion and Waste Reduction Programs, Marketing and Communications, Technology Innovations, Contamination Solutions, Code Enforcement, Contract Negotiations, Community Beautification/Litter Cleanup Efforts
- Special Waste Collections & Processing: C&D, Food, Electronics, Solar Panels, Disaster Debris, Batteries, HHW, etc.
- College and University Recycling and Waste Reduction Programs: Campus Recycling Collections, Composting Programs, Special Waste, Unique Recycling Streams, Education & Outreach, Contamination Clean-up Trends, Reuse Efforts, Sustainability Efforts, and Governance
- Organics Recycling & Food Waste Reduction: vegetative debris composting, food waste composting & donation, public composting, facility permitting, markets
- Material Processing: Material Recovery Facility Success Stories, Trends in Processing Technology & Processing Solutions, Trends in Plastics Processing (e.g. chemical, mechanical, physical, “advanced recycling”), Construction and Demolition Recycling
- Policy Impacts: on MRFs, Collections, Manufacturing, and more, National and State Policy Perspectives & Developments
- ESG Impacts: Relating Climate Change to Waste Reduction & Recycling, Recycling & Sustainable Development Goals, Citizen & Community Activism for Recycling, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Local and State Policy Success Stories to Model, Microplastic Data & Impacts
Success stories as well as innovative programs, methods, and technologies to advance the circular economy, recycling programs, material recovery or waste reduction, are preferred. Presentations that include interactive hands-on education or product/technology demonstrations are a plus! New voices and ideas that we haven’t heard from before are encouraged to participate.
The CRA’s conference program is planned by a committee of volunteers and takes several months to finalize. We will reach out to you by no later than December 19, 2025 regarding whether we are able to include your submission.
