2026 Annual Meeting and CRA Board Elections

Join us for our 2026 CRA Annual Meeting and Town Hall Forum on March 19, 2026 in Myrtle Beach, SC. 2026 – 2027 Board Candidates

2026 Recommendation Statement from the Board:

In order to represent the diverse views and regional character of the membership as well as continue the success of the CRA, the board has identified the following areas of special interest for this board election cycle:

South Carolina representatives
Non-profit representatives
School/university representatives
Members with past experience and interest in serving as Board Secretary.

The board has also identified a critical need in the following area:

Members with experience and willingness to serve as Board Treasurer.

To ensure this critical need is met, we have indicated two candidates that have expressed interest and have the skills to fill this role. Please vote for at least one of the Treasurer candidates. You will be asked to vote for at least one of the Treasurer candidates. You may vote for both as part of your 5 total votes.

Candidates for Treasurer:
	Isaac Crouch, Chief Executive Officer, Simply Green Recycling & Waste (Morganton, NC) Candidate's Statement: Isaac became a lifelong fan of CRA after attending his first conference in 2021, and he’s excited for the opportunity to contribute more as a Board member. Since starting his hauling business in Morganton, NC seven years ago, he has lived and breathed recycling. He has also chaired his county public health board and served with local education and conservation non-profits, bringing practical governance, operational and collaborative experience to the table.
	Amanda Doss, Director, Person County Recycling Center (Roxboro, NC) Candidate's Statement: Amanda has over 15 years of experience in recycling and more than seven years in a director-level role overseeing a multi-million dollar budget and supervising 24 staff. She recently supported the upgrade of a mini MRF to a Revolution Sort System to improve efficiency and sustainability. With a background in communication studies, is a collaborative leader committed to strong governance and advancing CRA’s mission.
Open Slate of Candidates:
	Allison Brockman, Sustainability and Recycling Program Manager, Spartanburg County (Spartanburg, SC) Candidate's Statement: With over 15 years of experience in recycling and solid waste management, Allison brings leadership across municipal and county government, board service, and statewide engagement. She serves on CRA’s Conference and Education & Outreach Committees and has led sustainability workshops and speaking engagements locally and nationally. Committed to Sustainable Systems – Real Impact, she advances practical, results-driven solutions that strengthen our industry and communities.
	Kevin Fisher, Manager - Procurement, Sonoco Recycling, LLC (Raleigh, NC) * Candidate's Statement:** With over 15 years of experience in Kevin has worked for Sonoco Recycling for 20 years, in various roles covering North and South Carolina. He is experienced in both working with local municipalities and local businesses on their recycling efforts and goals. Finally, Kevin believes his industry experience would be a good fit for the CRA Board, promoting recycling throughout the Carolina's.
	Michael Galus, Sales Manager, Pellenc ST America (Lancaster, SC) * Candidate's Statement:** Michael has over 24 years of experience in the waste and recycling industry and has enjoyed spending the last 18 months as sales Manager with Pellenc ST America in Pineville, NC. He has a strong passion for helping companies develop recycling programs that not only assist those companies in achieving their sustainability goals but also enhance their position as a responsible global partner within their communities.
	Kayla Maier, Take Action SC Coordinator, SCDES (Columbia, SC) Candidate's Statement: Kayla Maier is seeking election to the CRA board to strengthen recycling across the Carolinas. Having lived in both NC and SC, she brings regional insight, experience at Appalachian State's Office of Sustainability, and current leadership at SCDES, managing Take Action SC and Be Battery Smart programs. Committed to expanding recycling infrastructure and growing resilient recycling markets, Kayla looks forward to making connections in the Carolinas and beyond.
