CRA 30th Annual Conference & Trade Show CANCELLED!
CRA 2020 CONFERENCE CANCELLED! Unfortunately, the worldwide spread of COVID-19 has made it impossible for CRA to host the 2020 Conference & Trade Show as planned. The CRA Board of Directors together with staff have made the extremely tough decision to cancel this year’s event. We will not be able to reschedule as previously hoped. Your safety and health is our top priority, and we are fortunate that CRA can continue to operate and serve you in new ways in spite of not having a conference this year. We are grateful for the work of many board members, staff members, and volunteers that have worked hard to help us weather this time. We will move forward with planning the scheduled March 2021 Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC and we hope to see you there! We will send out updated details directly to registrants and ask for your patience as we work through this process. (Updated 05/27/2020)
CRA Annual Membership Meeting and Board Elections:
2020 Virtual CRA Annual Meeting & Elections – May 27, 2020: We missed seeing all of you in March and look forward to hearing from you during the Annual Meeting. In order to maintain our election cycle and yearly planning as close to normal as possible, please plan to join us for our first ever Virtual Annual Meeting and Election on May 27, 2020 from 10AM to 12PM. Since we were unable to hold these events in March during the conference, the Board and staff have determined this is the best way to handle our spring governance matters. This will help us to maintain regular Board terms, strategic planning, and our annual budget preparation. We would love for your to join us! Registration is required to access the live broadcast. We will also post the recording here following the meeting.
Note to CRA Members, Friends, and Attendees:
Transparency about what led to the decision to reschedule our conference is very important to CRA. In the face of what is now a global pandemic, the CRA Board and Staff have been working very hard over the last few weeks to identify all of the options that would still allow us to host a fantastic conference, maintain the safety and health of attendees, and protect financial interests of all parties involved. Due to the lack of official travel bans or prohibitions from the CDC, our contracted hotels would not allow us to invoke the “Force Majeure” clause that would make it possible to cancel the conference outright, nor would they compromise by rescheduling without charging us significant penalties. Just two days ago, they finally relented and gave us the option to reschedule in August without significant penalties. We hope you all understand and agree as to why this decision was made and that rescheduling is the best way forward at this time. If you have any questions or would like to discuss, we have an open door policy and would be happy to chat. We will see you in August!
