DataDriven Recycling, Ontario, Canada, has launched DataDocks, a cloud-based software tool designed to help recyclers organize and improve their logistics and communication abilities.

DataDocks provides an online platform that allows both the recyclers’ team and its customers the ability to book appointments for the company’s logistics, says DataDriven Recycling. This is achieved by a secure platform that is user-friendly, and accessible anywhere by all makes or models of computers, cellphones or tablets, says Nick Rakovsky, DataDriven Recycling founder.

Once logged into the DataDocks account, users can view which trucks are on the property and in the company’s docks; detailed information about each shipment; attach documents and pictures; and view and track key performance indicators of logistics.

By using DataDocks software to automate logistics, Rakovsky says recycling companies’ shipping and receiving departments will become more organized, cost-efficient and have improved communication.  DataDocks allows a company’s customers and employees to book dock times, which prevents overbooking, thus reducing demurrage costs, Rakovsky says.

“Improving the efficiency within your shipping and receiving department will allow you to take advantage of opportunities and profits that were previously not possible,” Rakovsky says, adding, “With improved docking you could see an enormous increase in the company’s daily truck capacity that you didn’t even know was possible.”

DataDocks starts off at $49 per month with the basic plan, which the company notes is what separates this software from its competitors as it is “cost-effective to get started.”
