Bunting Magnetics Co., Newton, Kansas, has announced lower prices on its line of MagLift magnetic lifters. Prices have been reduced by an average of 30 percent, depending on model.  This announcement follows the permanent price reduction of its ValueMag hopper magnets and cartridge/tube magnets earlier this year.

The magnetic lifters, hopper magnets and cartridge/tube magnets are sold through the company’s Magnet Materials Division and its e-commerce website.

“Lowering pricing and then offering free shipping on our magnetic lifters shows Bunting Magnetics is putting customers first, making it easier, quicker and less expensive to get the equipment they need to run their operation,” says Robert Bunting Jr., general manager, Magnet Materials Division.

Bunting permanent magnetic lifters are powered by blocks of high-energy neodymium magnetic material. Switching the magnet on/off is achieved by making one of these blocks reversible. In the “on” position, the reversible block is in parallel with the static blocks so that a concentrated magnetic field is produced at the pole feet for lifting. In the ”off” position, the reversible block is rotated through 180 degrees to provide a total magnetic short circuit within the lifter body, the company explains.

“Permanent magnets and manual switching means no operating costs, no more struggles to attach heavy or awkward loads and no more worries about the stability of the load once it’s lifted,” Bunting says.

Bunting magnetic lifters are available to lift and hold 275 pounds to 4,400 pounds and have additional safety features, the company says. With a 3:1 ratio, the lifters can move three times their weight rating, while a mechanical safety switch prevents the lifters from disengaging accidentally.
