The equipment company PTR Baler and Compactor, headquartered in Philadelphia, has unveiled its newest facility in Plant City, Florida. The company says that opening the new plant will pave the way for meeting its growing demand for PTR’s products in the region.

One highlight of the new plant, as well as PTR overall, is that all equipment manufacturing is performed in the United States. In choosing to keep all the manufacturing domestic, PTR says it is able to constantly improve the quality of the products and streamline the process in order to best serve its customers.

“We are very excited to expand PTR’s footprint into Florida. It culminates a yearlong search that we feel will be a tremendous opportunity to expand our capacity in the Southeast,” says Mike Savage, PTR’s CEO during the grant opening, held July 21. “I have been impressed by the commitment of our people and their ability to produce the highest quality of equipment and service to our customers. We look forward to our continued growth and expansion in Plant City.”

The new facility includes a large property to allow for expansion options as needed.

The 15,000-square-foot facility, with room for expansion options as needed, has begun operations. By increasing its manufacturing capacity, PTR says it will be able to meet the growing demand for its range of products, installations, 24/7 service and parts. “We are thrilled to welcome PTR Baler and Compactor to Plant City,” says Jake Austin, president and CEO of the Plant City Economic Development Corp. “PTR is exactly the kind of company we want in our community.”
