United States-based forest products information firm RISI has announced that its 5th RISI China International Recycled Fiber Conference will take place 8-9 December 2016 in Zhuhai, China, at the Zhuhai Marriott Hotel.

The event “will bring together top management, recovered paper procurement managers from paper companies, recovered paper suppliers, domestic collectors, brand owners, financial institutions and consultants from all over the world,” says RISI of the Zhuhai conference.

RISI says among the trends, challenges and opportunities in the recovered paper industry to be discussed at the event will be of interest to:

  • recovered paper packers;
  • international recovered paper traders;
  • paper industry executives, including mill buyers;
  • logistics managers; and
  • financial or market analysts.

Presentations will cover a number of topics, according to RISI, including government officials addressing industry policy; developing trends in the pulp and paper industry; and structural reform in China and its effect on both the wider economy and the recovered paper industry.

The event’s networking platform will allow attendees from different sectors of the recovered paper value chain to interact, RISI says, including paper manufacturers, overseas suppliers, merchants, local collectors, financial institutions, equipment and chemical suppliers and finished product brand owners.
