In a letter to customers dated Nov. 10, 2016, and signed by Dwayne Skow and Jay Brock, Awlwright Construction, Fort Worth, Texas, announced the company’s name change to Recycling Equipment Inc. (REI).

REI, based in Newton, North Carolina, has sold and installed recycling equipment, including shredders and balers, throughout the United States, Canada, South America, Europe and Africa since 1994. The company is owned by President Scott Sharp and Senior Vice President Joey Walls.

Skow, former president of Awlwright, will no longer be engaged in day-to-day operations so that he can pursue other interests. However, according to the letter, he will stay loosely involved with the business.

Brock, who now serves as vice president of Southwest operations at REI, remains with the company.

REI will serve as the dealer for American Baler, Bellevue, Ohio, covering the territory previously assigned to Awlwright in addition to its existing territory on the East coast.

In the letter, Skow and Brock ask their customers to make the necessary changes within their accounting systems, making checks payable to Recycling Equipment Inc. for payments on existing Awlwright invoices and future REI invoices. The mailing address and phone number will remain the same: 5201 Pyramid Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas 76162; 817-560-1082.
