ERI opens New Jersey consolidation facility
<![CDATA[ERI, a recycler of electronic scrap and an information technology asset disposition (ITAD) and cybersecurity-focused hardware destruction company, has opened a new consolidation facility in New Jersey.

The 53,500-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility is located on 510 Ryerson Rd. in Lincoln Park and was leased to ERI by the Stro Cos. ERI, headquartered in Fresno, California, says it will occupy the space immediately, using it as a high-tech consolidation operation, with plans for the location to become a full-service e-scrap processing facility.

The New Jersey facility joins ERI’s other facilities in California, Colorado, Indiana, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Texas and Washington, serving every zip code in the United States, according to the company.

“We’re excited to launch our New Jersey operation at such an ideal location,” says John S. Shegerian, chairman and CEO of ERI. “As with all of our locations, the Lincoln Park facility meets the strictest standards of environmental and operational excellence and will enable us to enhance and further streamline our nationwide services.”

“We are proud to have added ERI to our growing list of tenants,” says Steven Millstein, president of Stro. “ERI is a on the forefront of electronics recycling and secure data destruction, bringing responsible, effective and sustainable practices to everyday life. Stro shares ERI’s mission of creating a more sustainable future through various projects, including solar energy as well as the redevelopment and repositioning of challenged properties into productive components of New Jersey’s economy, so it’s a great fit.”

ERI is certified to demanufacture and recycle electronics in an environmentally friendly manner. The company says it processes more than 275 million pounds of electronics annually at eight locations.
