The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS), Washington, has announced that the number of companies committed to NPE2018 Space Draw is up 25 percent over 2014, the year preceding NPE2015, with more than 925,000 square feet of space requested. This news comes several weeks ahead of NPE2018 Space Draw, an event in which companies make booth selections for NPE2018: The Plastics Show, a triennial, international plastics manufacturing exposition returning to Orlando, Florida, May 7-11, 2018.

The NPE2018 Space Draw will take place March 20-22, 2017, at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel & Conference Center in Orlando and is open to all prospective exhibiting companies. PLASTICS projects more than 2,000 suppliers, equipment manufacturers and other companies that service the plastics industry will exhibit at NPE2018.

“The global plastics industry continues to flourish, and that’s reflected in the remarkable pre-NPE2018 Space Draw interest in booth space we’ve seen generated for NPE2018,” says William R. Carteaux, president and CEO of PLASTICS. “We anticipate NPE2018 will break the records we set in 2015 and continue to be a hub of innovation, technology and learning for the industry.”

In addition to selecting booth space, attending Space Draw allows exhibitors the opportunity to meet with service providers to learn how to enhance their presence at the show. Exhibitors can attend an exclusive marketing workshop and gain early access to promotional tools to jump-start getting attendees to their booth during NPE2018.

Along with an expanded conference and education program, NPE2018 will feature:

  • Bottle Zone – a resource for companies that work with PET preforms, molds, labeling, filling, closures, design and inspection equipment in bottle and container manufacturing;
  •  Additional Market Segment Zones – spaces that allow exploration of the trends and technologies in various plastics market segments including 3D and 4D printing, moldmaking, medical parts processing, flexible vinyl, thermoforming and material science;
  • Re|focus Sustainability & Recycling Summit Zone – an annual PLASTICS event co-located at NPE2018, providing recycling and sustainability professionals access to revolutionary equipment, reliable supplies and innovations for the processors and brand owners seeking sustainable solutions for their business.
