Stadler announces installations
<![CDATA[Colfax, North Carolina-based Stadler America LLC has announced recent recycling system sales worldwide. The group has installed and commissioned plants in Japan, South Africa, Australia, Brazil, Netherlands, Estonia, United Kingdom, St. Barts, India, Russia and Vietnam.

Systems are currently being installed in Mexico, North Yorkshire, U.K., and Jacksonville, Florida. These systems are processing a wide range of materials, including municipal solid waste (MSW)/mixed waste, single stream, light packaging material and mixed plastics.

“The range of these installations demonstrates Stadler’s ability to design systems capable of effectively and efficiently processing any material stream,” says Mat Everhart, CEO of Stadler America LLC. “Our global experience informs our design engineers on the most effective approach to each materials stream.”

The equipment configuration for each plant is designed, with the plants often using Stadler trommels and ballistics for mechanical separation as well as magnetic and optical sorters. The system is connected by Stadler conveyors that are purpose-built and designed for maximum efficiency. The plants benefit from intelligent operation through Stadler’s proprietary supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) control systems.

“Importantly Stadler has a track record of delivering these plants on schedule and on budget,” says Scott Jable, sales director for Stadler America. “The plant in Brazil, which is located in Sao Paulo, successfully processed material generated at the World Cup soccer matches, was delivered, installed and began running in less than six months from the contract execution. The fact that we’ve experienced such consistent success all over the world speaks to the fact that we are capable and ready to do a great job for our customers in the future”

Founded in 1791 as a blacksmith shop, Stadler is now run by the seventh generation of the Stadler family. The firm introduced the first ballistic separator to the recycling industry in the 1970s. Since then the company has grown to be an integrated systems house. With an engineering-driven approach to solving customer challenges, the Stadler team has designed, built and implemented hundreds of recycling plants globally.
