Fuchs to display two material handlers at ISRI Convention

Two material handlers in the Fuchs product line will be on display at the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) Annual Convention April 22-27, 2017, in New Orleans. Also at the 2017 ISRI Annual Convention, Terex Corporation CEO John Garrison will host a press conference in the Fuchs exhibit hall display area on Tuesday, April 25, at 11.15 a.m. Fuchs is a brand of Louisville, Kentucky-based Terex Corporation.
Terex says one machine on display will be an MHL370 F model material handler and the other an MHL320 F model. The MHL370 F features a new cab design that has received an award from Germany-based iF International Forum Design GmbH. The most recent version of that annual contest included more than 5,500 entries from nearly 60 different countries, according to Terex Fuchs.
The new “purpose-built” Fuchs cab design will be available starting in the fourth quarter of 2017. It incorporates more glass to provide enhanced visibility; a new joystick steering control designed to improve maneuverability; and a revised interior designed to include more space and greater operator comfort.
The 120,000-pound-class high-capacity Fuchs MHL370 F material handler offers a reach of 59.9 feet and is designed to serve large, high-volume scrap operations processing material at shredding plants. An elevating cab is designed to provide a maximum eye-level operation of 20 feet and independent cab forward movement of 7.2 feet.
The MHL320 F material handler is designed “as the perfect entry-level unit for recycling, solid waste and small scrap operations who need the high lift capacities at extended reaches, efficient sorting capabilities and fast trailer loading and unloading delivered by purpose-built handlers,” says the company.
Jon Van Ruitenbeek, business line director for Fuchs in North America, says the features of the Terex Fuchs machines enable customers in the scrap, waste, forestry and port industries to operate efficiently and boost return on investment.
“The purpose-built Fuchs material handlers are integral to the long-term Terex business strategy,” says Van Ruitenbeek. “We have announced several key sales and support management appointments for key North American and European markets, which will give Fuchs more interaction with customers during the sales process and provide customers with higher-level support from the factory. Additionally, we are continuing to focus on growing distribution globally, so customers will experience more responsive service and parts support locally.”
