Genesis introduces ‘streamlined’ handling grapple

Genesis Attachments, headquartered in Superior, Wisconsin, has released its handling grapple, the GHG, designed with streamlined features that require less maintenance, the company says.

The GHG 125 contains a single, oversized cylinder with dual drag links designed to minimize the number of moving parts, simplifying the hydraulic system and reducing maintenance. Easy-to-locate grease fittings in the streamlined tine, frame and linkage design also decrease downtime, according to Genesis.

Designed for waste handling and recycling, construction and demolition (C&D) material handling and sorting and primary demolition applications, the GHG is available with perforated or heavy-duty ribbed tines that, Genesis says, close at a very flat angle to assist in compacting material. The GHG’s crushing force densifies material while the rotation system is designed to resist back-driving forces.

Large recessed side covers provide access to internal components while protecting the cover fasteners, and small openings in the lower housing prevent material from accumulating inside the grapple, according to the manufacturer.
