The Nebraska Recycling Council (NRC) has announced it will host a free webinar focusing on new technology for the waste and recycling services sector.

The Lincoln, Nebraska-based group says the webinar, to be held on Tuesday, July 18, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Central Time, will address route optimization, curbside cart tracking and communication, e-commerce and pricing analytics. The NRC says these “new technologies can create efficiencies, provide a safer environment for employees, and help manage assets.”

Companies taking part in the webinar include Rubicon Global, Cascade Carts and Grid Waste. “This webinar will be of interest to hauling companies and municipalities,” says the NRC.

 Presenters at the event include:

Matt Maes, a regional sales manager at Cascade Cart Solutions, a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based company that describes itself as offering “a broad range of innovative containers and services for residential and commercial solid waste, recycling, and organics collection programs.”

Kerry Grubb, director of RubiconPro at Atlanta-based Rubicon Global, where she manages a service designed to assist Rubicon’s independent members to reduce overhead, lower costs and grow their businesses. She will be joined by Rubicon colleagues Maui Orozco and Samantha Podgorny.

Walker Lunn, founder and CEO of Washington-based Grid Waste, which describes itself as an online exchange for waste and recycling services designed to help waste generators reduce waste, cost and the environmental impact of waste collection logistics.
