2017 Recycling Day

at the South Carolina Legislature

Recycling Day at the South Carolina Statehouse was held on March 1st, 2017.  Members of the industry, including businesses, non-profits, and individuals had the chance to meet with their legislators to discuss interests and recycling issues that matter most, both before and after a luncheon program at the State Capital.  The event was punctuated when the SC Senate and House of Representatives passed a resolution declaring March 1st as South Carolina Recyclers’ Day.  Participants were asked to stand for recognition during the legislative session, which was truly an honor.  CRA would like to thank the generous sponsors of Recycling Day at the SC Statehouse for their support!  Thanks also to Sonoco Recycling for donating compostable cups and recycling bins, and Atlas Organics for collecting compostables generated by the event.
