TAV Holdings of Atlanta has introduced the RCSX-E series ultra-high frequency eddy current separator (ECS) from IMRO, Uffenheim, Germany, to the U.S. market.

The RCSX-E series is able to generate magnetic frequencies north of 1,300 hertz with rotors spinning at 4,000 rpm, according to TAV Holdings. The machines separate many nonferrous metals smaller than 3 millimeters (1/8 inch), which can be challenging for a typical high-frequency ECS to recover, according to the company.

Machines in the E series feature a patented adjustable pole system that can go from 0 to 20 degrees. IMRO’s E series also provides a patented shell ring with lifting assistance to easily replace a shell when needed. An electrically adjustable splitter provides an infinitely variable system for all applications, TAV Holdings says.

TAV offers the E series in three different sizes, 40, 60 and 80 inches, to cover different throughputs and budgets.

In addition to the E series eddy current, TAV’s portfolio of products includes the patented TAV Dynamic Sensor Sorter, the patented TAV Deep Box Aspirator and TAV fluidized screening technology.
