SCAA announces initial software launch

With its launch Feb. 20, 2017, SCAA (Salvage Claim and Auction), Iselin, New Jersey, is offering what it calls the salvage industry’s first integrated platform for claim management, collision estimation and car and parts auctions. SCAA says its tools and technologies make workflow and postaccident processing for insurance companies and salvage yards easy.
Designed to enable salvage yards, insurance companies and used car dealers to perform automobile trading. SCAA enables salvage customers to schedule and run their own auctions over the internet.
The Phase 1 launch will be preceded by monthly upgrades to make other features available online, the company says.
Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) members receive these additional benefits, SCAA says:
- no seller’s fees;
- no membership fees for the first year;
- no administrative fees;
- no gate fees; and
- no internet bidding fees.
All platform features come with flat 5 percent transaction and document processing fees by sellers, SCAA says.
