CP Group, a recycling solutions provider and equipment manufacturer based in San Diego, will unveil its Virtual MRF (material recovery facility) May 9, 2017, at WasteExpo in New Orleans.

The Virtual MRF is a virtual reality simulation that uses two hand-held controls and a virtual reality headset. The simulation allows users to explore every inch of a life-size computer-generated model of a MRF in real time, the company says.

“This is unlike anything that has been done before in our industry,” says Ashley Davis, director of sales and marketing for CP Group. “Our Virtual MRF uses the most cutting-edge tech to provide our customers with a very concrete sense of what their facility will be like before anything is actually built. This technology has a lot of potential, not only for our sales force, but [also] for our engineers, and we’re proud to be the first to bring it into the recycling equipment manufacturing industry.”

CP Group will offer Virtual MRF demonstrations at its booth, No. 3647, throughout WasteExpo’s exhibit hall hours May 9-11.

CP Group—comprising CP Manufacturing, Krause Manufacturing, MSS Inc. and Advanced MRF—provides award-winning recycling system design, manufacturing, retrofits, audits and consulting. CP Group provides turnkey solutions for mixed waste, residential recycling, commercial and industrial waste, construction and demolition debris and electronics recycling applications.
