US Chamber of Commerce hosts circular economy summit
<![CDATA[The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Corporate Citizenship Center, Washington, will host the 2017 Sustainability and Circular Economy Summit, as well as a half-day Resiliency Forum June 26-28 in Washington.

The three-day summit is designed to gather public and private sector leaders and explore solutions that businesses can implement to implement a circular economy. Leaders from across sectors and industries will share best practices for waste reduction.

On the sidelines of the summit, the Corporate Citizenship Center will also host a forum, “Promoting Resilience and Cross-Sector Collaboration for a Sustainable Future,” June 26. The forum is designed to be a comprehensive look at the factors that impact a community’s ability to prepare and respond to disasters, and where the private sector can engage to support adaptability. Speakers at the event include Marc DeCourcey, senior vice president, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation; Tamara Barker, chief sustainability officer, UPS; Tom Szaky, CEO, TerraCycle Inc.; Hugh Welsh, president and general counsel, DSM North America; Leon Wijnands, global head of sustainability, ING Group; and Matanya Horowitz, founder, AMP Robotics.
