NWRA Women’s Council expands scholarship program
<![CDATA[The Women’s Council of the National Waste and Recycling Association (NWRA), Arlington, Virginia, announced that it has expanded its scholarship program and will award four individuals in 2018 with $7,500 toward higher education tuition.
 
“Thanks to generosity of donors, the NWRA Women’s Council will be offering four $7,500 scholarships for 2018 to 2019,” Tammy Holtzman, chair of the Women’s Council, says. “This is an increase in the number from three last year and an increase in the amount from last year’s award of $5,000.”

Since 2007, the NWRA Women’s Council has awarded $142,500 to 36 scholars. Women’s Council scholarships are offered to NWRA member company employees and their dependents who wish to pursue a career in the solid waste and recycling industry.
