Cordele, Georgia-based Harris Waste Management has announced it is now selling its equipment for the recycling and waste services industries directly to buyers in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Effective in late March 2018, all sales will be handled by the company’s Parts and Service operation based in Tewkesbury, U.K. Parts for all Harris machines are held at the company’s Tewkesbury premises, and engineers are on hand there to assist with installation, servicing and troubleshooting, according to the company.

According to Harris, the company will now handle the sales process entirely in-house, from the quotation to the order, shipping, installation and commissioning plus parts and service support.

“We believe our customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland will welcome a move that enables them to deal directly with the manufacturer [and that] offers a seamless process from sale to installation and ongoing product support,” says Harris President Greg King.

Harris offers two-ram balers, capable of handling materials including plastics, cardboard, aluminum and paper; open- and closed-end horizontal balers; and shears, balers and shredders for ferrous and nonferrous metals.
