Toronto-based Lynx Equity Limited has acquired Alpine Shredders, a manufacturer of mobile shredding trucks headquartered in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.

Lynx has acquired the company from George Doerr, a founding member of Alpine who acquired 100 percent of the company in 2015. He will remain with the company, according to a news release issued by Lynx. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We had only limited knowledge of the document destruction industry but, after meeting the team at Alpine Shredders, were immediately excited about the opportunity to expand our portfolio into this space,” remarks Eric Persi, vice president of Lynx Equity.

Says Doerr, “The Alpine team is looking forward to being a part of the Lynx family and continuing its quest to lead the industry for mobile shredding equipment.”
