Industrial Service Solutions (ISS), Houston, has announced the appointment of Jack Hodges as its vice president of digital solutions. In his role, Hodges will be involved in managing and overseeing the company’s technical solutions offerings. He began his career in 2008 with CPL Systems, an ISS company, where he held various technical and commercial management positions. Hodges previously served as a senior manager for Accenture’s Technology Group and the director of operations for Cimation.

Since joining the company, Hodges has been working closely with ISS – Recycling Technologies group, which was introduced in June of 2020. According to Bill Tigner, vice president of Recycling Technologies, “Jack has already proven invaluable for our team in his knowledge of control systems. We have been working not only advancing our automobile shredder control systems but also our proprietary shredder emissions and explosion mitigation product lines.”

Another priority of Hodges will be the continued development of ISS’ Spectare Remote AI Monitoring platform. As it relates to the shredder product line, Spectare not only monitors any aspect of a shredder plant but uses its analytical properties to predict possible failures in the future and can correlate a shredder’s highest production numbers with the parameters to allow and show the most efficient set up, ISS says.

Hodges will be based out of the ISS corporate office in Houston. With 45 locations across the nation, the company provides comprehensive nationwide field services, fully equipped service shops and supply shops with available parts. In support of the scrap metal industry, ISS offers complete stationary shredders, including castings and wear parts, AmeriMex motors and controls, emission controls, shredder explosion mitigation, the Taurus U.S. line of scrap shears and balers and the ZB Group’s Thor mobile shredder line.
