SI Group releases Evercycle additives platform

SI Group, a developer and manufacturer of performance additives based in The Woodlands, Texas, has launched the Evercycle additives platform for plastics recycling at the K 2022 exhibition, which takes place Oct. 19-26 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
According to SI Group, the Evercycle additives brand supports “a more circular economy” based on resource conservation and enhanced recycling capabilities. For polyethylene terephthalate (PET) recycling and converting, the Evercycle products help with offering process stability, color control and reduced acetaldehyde levels. For other polyolefin recycling, the additives help with process stabilization and performance enhancement and enabling increased recycled content.
The new platform includes the following additives:
- Evercycle PET-102D for color control in PET bottles, trays and fibers (pellets);
- Evercycle PET-103D for color control in PET bottles, trays and fibers (liquids);
- Evercycle PP-101S for stabilization in high-density polyethylene and polypropylene flexible packaging; and
- Evercycle LD-101S for stabilization in low-density polyethylene packaging.
According to SI Group, the new additives platform will help consumer brands that are looking to increase the amount of recycled content featured in their products and enable multiple uses of their products to increase sustainability.
“Our formulated additive solutions advance the transition to a more circular economy by enabling more plastics to be recycled back into the economy,” says Irfaan Foster, market development director at SI Group. “This will result in a more sustainable industry and create greater societal and economic benefit for all.”
