Spartech's PreservaPak Ultra receives Association of Plastic Recyclers recognition
<![CDATA[

Engineered thermoplastics and custom packaging producer Spartech, St. Louis has received recognition from the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR), Washington, based on the technical recyclability of its PreservaPak Ultra line of packaging.

PreservaPak Ultra flat sheet and rollstock structure has met or exceeded the strictest APR critical guidance for clear polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin and molded articles, Spartech says. A review committee appointed by the APR looked at Spartech’s data submission for the product and concluded the data were correctly obtained by a qualified laboratory and were completely presented to show the technology met or exceeded the most challenging test conditions and critical guidance criteria.

Spartech says PreservaPak Ultra is a custom barrier solution designed to meet the specific processing requirements as required for on-the-go, dairy, fresh foods or extended shelf-life products, as well as applications that range from single-serve portions to “snap-able” multipack formats.

The company says material solutions are available for a wide array of food processing conditions, from the toughest aseptic, retort and modified atmosphere processing to hot, cold or ambient fill.

PreservaPak Ultra is one of five Spartech sustainable packaging offerings, along with its UltraTuf, Royalite, Korad and Polycast lines. The company produces packaging for numerous industries, including food, aerospace and automotive.
